IAHPC membership surges

Why your IAHPC membership matters

IAHPC is delighted to announce that, after dancing on the edge of 1,000 members for a very long time, our membership surged beyond that number in June and has maintained its growth ever since. We reached 1,046 members in September.

The 20% off campaign in August helped, though that has been standard for a few years now. Another important driver, notes Executive Director Liliana De Lima, are IAHPC's courses, such as the one on neurological conditions in palliative care.

Becoming a member is incredibly important for many reasons, but here are the two most crucial that you may not know about:

IAHPC does not accept funding from corporate sources, so memberships are essential to financially support the constant work IAHPC performs locally, regionally, and globally to aid in establishing palliative care and improving access to it—and to essential medicines—in countries that need it the most.

Equally important are the dual advantages that memberships provide. Yes, your membership gives you full access to IAHPC's myriad resources [click on "What we do"], but this tangible support from individuals is also necessary to maintain IAHPC's tax status as a nonprofit organization. This status allows IAHPC to use every dollar to devote all of its efforts toward the goal of a world free from health-related suffering.
