Dear readers:
Our column this month is very brief.
Liliana took last month off on family leave—she became a grandmother for the fifth time and was enjoying helping her daughter and her family with all the tasks that come with a new baby. The IAHPC officers were super professional and very much on top of everything: Liliana’s absence was barely felt by the board and members!
A couple of important announcements for our members and those readers considering joining IAHPC:
The contest is yet another opportunity for this community to come together virtually, when we cannot be together in person, by sharing photos that may be published in the IAHPC Newsletter and on the website. Your photo also gives you and your organization global visibility.
Your photos should reflect your experience in palliative care. Shots depicting patient care, advocacy, volunteering, caregiving, and participation in educational programs are all welcome. More information on how to participate can be found on our website.
Recently, Lukas did a fantastic interview on Al Jazeera television. One of the things that made this such a great interview was the host’s excellent questions. You can watch the interview here. Please share and disseminate widely among your colleagues and friends, and consider contacting reporters in your area to spread the word about your palliative care services.
Until next month,
Lukas Radbruch, MD
Chair
Liliana De Lima, MHA
Executive Director
