Editor’s corner

Welcome to the February edition of the IAHPC Newsletter. IAHPC Chair, Prof. Lukas Radbruch, writes for the Policy and Advocacy page this month with encouraging news on how new developments in research may help to advance palliative care in Germany. David Fearon and Alhousseynou Sall introduce us to palliative care in Mauritania (with Arabic and French translations of this article on our website) and elsewhere in the newsletter we celebrate IAHPC Members’ Recognition week with a piece from prizewinner, Matthias Brian from Sweden. Fazle-Noor Biswas writes about a workshop on dementia in Dhaka and we hear more from our Traveling Scholars who attended the Global Colloquium in Dublin. And Barry Ashpole and Roger Wodruff have been as busy as ever in presenting another round of stimulating abstracts and reviews.

Many thanks to everyone for your wonderful contributions and input to this edition.

All good wishes,

Avril Jackson
Senior Editor
