In early July, Dr. Derek Doyle received an honorary Doctor of Science degree from the University of Glasgow during a graduation ceremony on the Dumfries Campus. He received this honor in recognition of his lifetime of contributing to the development of palliative care at all levels of practice and administration ranging from the bedside, to teaching, to research, to writing, to administration and editing, just to mention a few. He did this not only in Scotland and the UK but internationally. We are honored to call Derek a friend, a longtime colleague and a Lifetime Member of the Board of IAHPC.
Congratulations Derek for receiving this very special and much deserved honor, our best wishes from all of us and the Board of IAHPC! Please read Dr. David Clark’s salute.
