BHPCA was established in January 2013 by individuals from different professional background and was registered as a Non Governmental Association.The Association has 45 Members; Medical Dr's, Social workers, Pharmacists, Trainers, Caregivers, Students and 3 Hospices in Botswana.
- Holy Cross Hospice Botswana, Gaborone
Holy Cross Hospice is one of only a handful of agencies in Botswana focused on delivering end-of-life palliative care services to people with HIV and AIDS, cancer, and other life-limiting illness. Our focus on offering comprehensive services within an adult day care setting provides needed assistance to individuals who are often isolated at home during the day without access to nutritious food. We also offer essential support to their families members. Our delivery of these same services to people who are too ill or infirm to come to our center extends this palliative care to those in need within the community.

The Light and Courage Centre Trust (LCCT) in Botswana was established to provide care, support and information to community members living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Today, the program involves people living with HIV/AIDS in service delivery.
- Ramotswa Hospice at Home Botswana, Ramotswa
Hospice at Home in Ramotswa provides holistic palliative care, Home visits, Day care services, Bereavement visits to all clients with HIV/AIDS, Cancer in the area of 5km radius around Bamalete Lutheran Hospital.The centre also trains community volunteers in the South East District of Botswana and an upcoming teaching centre for palliative care.It is the first hospice to be started in 1992 in Botswana and strives to be a model of Community Centred Home Based Care operating from District Hospital.
