Editor’s corner

Welcome to the final edition of our newsletter for 2015. On our Policy and Advocacy page, Dr. John Weru shares exciting advocacy developments in Kenya, while Drs. Rita Kabašinskien? and Marija Inesa Poniškaitien? from Lithuania represent IAHPC at a World Health Organization Regional Committee session in Vilnius. On the Feature page, we celebrate the achievements of our members with a piece from Dr. Alick Kayange, co-winner of the 2015 Members’ Recognition Award. Concluding our coverage of World Hospice and Palliative Dare Day events, Fazle Noor Biswas tells how Bangladesh celebrated the day.

We also bring you reviews, resources and opportunities to support your work – so just follow the links, apply for the scholarships, submit your abstracts and download the articles!

I join Liliana, Lukas and the IAHPC team in thanking everyone who has contributed to this issue and during the year – every contribution, no matter how big or small, is truly appreciated and helps to spread the message of palliative care.

All good wishes for the coming festivities, and for peace and fulfillment in 2016.
