The Pediatric Integrative Medicine Master Class offers state-of-the-art education in the holistic, non-pharmacological management of common symptoms such as pain, nausea, fatigue, insomnia, depression and anxiety, particularly as they are experienced by children and teens with cancer, life-limiting conditions, chronic pain, and those in palliative care or hospice situations. Participants will gain knowledge and experience with a variety of modalities including imagery, biofeedback, meditation, acupressure, aromatherapy, massage, music, storytelling, and energy therapies. Additional topics will include practical discussions of ethics, legal issues, business and administrative aspects of integrative care, care coordination and self-care for the practitioner.
This master class is designed for physicians and advanced practice nurses to develop their expertise in the field of pediatric integrative medicine. Other disciplines are welcome.
