The net effect: spanning diseases crossing borders
This conference that will take place during 17 - 20 September 2013, in Johannesburg, South Africa and is about improving the lives of African patients living with life-threatening illnesses through innovation and dialogue. It's about bringing different areas of expertise to the table to exchange ideas and to uphold and strengthen the health care systems that African patients and their families rely upon for physical, social, psychological and emotional support.

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission has announced scholarships for students in India and neighboring Commonwealth countries to undertake Cardiff University Post Graduate Diploma and MSc in Palliative Medicine.
10-20 scholarships will be available for this course in 2013. These scholarships will pay full fees for students. The scholarship award also facilitates a team of tutors delivering the residential component of the teaching in Bangalore, India. The remainder of the course is delivered through distance learning with the final examination being conducted in Bangalore.
