West Bengal Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Rules 1986 amended with a notification # 1013-Ex/O/1A-02/12 dated 4th October 2012 by insertion of rule 8?.
This amendment has simplified the process of possession, transport, purchase, sale and import of inter-state of morphine or any preparation containing morphine by “Recognized Medical Institution”.
In order to simplify the multi agency control the responsibility has been given to the Drugs Controller appointed by the state government.

Joyce will share her knowledge and experience with people who are dying from very advanced dementia. The survey results on the availability and accessibility of opioids for the management of cancer pain were recently presented at the ESMO 2012 Congress and announced in a press release.
The data is the most comprehensive of its kind and represents 83% of the population surveyed.
It is important that the data be as accurate and up to date as possible.
Members of the palliative care community living in various regions are invited to peer review the data by 31 December 2012.
It is requested that reviewers indicate if the data for his/her country is fair and accurate or if it needs to be amended. For any country where no data has yet been submitted, reviewers may also complete the full survey questionnaire.
