Name of Meeting/Event/Activity: 12th World Research Congress of the EAPC

Origin: Maseru, Lesotho / Destination: Vilvoorde, Belgium

How was this meeting/activity helpful to you?

It was informative and helpful to enlarge my thought of providing palliative care to the patients and their relatives who are facing life threatening illnesses.

How will you new knowledge & acquired skills help in furthering your work in hospice and palliative care in your program/city/ or country?

I have been working in the cancer clinic of Lesotho, Africa. Providing Palliative care to the cancer patients and their relatives is my daily activity. While attending at the 12th research congress of Palliative care arranged by EAPC I found learning and sharing of recent thought of champions of palliative care which I will be able to integrate in my practice of palliative care in Lesotho.

How IAHPC Traveling Scholars Program be improved in order to help other future traveling scholars?

I would like to thank IAHPC Scholar program to give me the opportunity. It will be helpful more in future if IAHPC gives opportunity with Scholarships to attend international conferences and research programs on Palliative Care development for doctors like me without any age limit. Most of the time I find IAHPC scholarship for young doctors only, but what about the senior doctors? The senior doctors also need professional developments in palliative care. Kindly consider future scholarships of IAHPC without age limitations and provide for senior doctors also. Best Regards- Dr Mobashshar Hassan, Lesotho, Africa.
