My name is Rut Kiman, I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am a pediatrician, Magister and Specialist in PALLIATIVE CARE. I have been working in this area of medicine for many years and also have worked as an assistant physician, senior lecturer and in research. Through the IAHPC scholarship I had the opportunity to participate in the Latin American Virtual Conference on Palliative Care (ALCP 2021) that took place on March 27, 2021, Having shared excellent speakers´s presentations, listening to the presentations of the works of colleagues in the region with innovative and original care devices, invites us to rethink and locate the new needs of infected or affected patients, families and governments that appear as a consequence of the COVID 19 pandemic. This personal experience has allowed me to reflect on what is built and what we still have to do in our country and in the region for the development and visibility of the specialty focused also on the little ones. I am very grateful with IAHPC for facilitating my participation in this Conference.
