Travel date: November 21, 2018
Name of Meeting/Event/Activity: 27th International Congress on Nursing Care & Nursing Education
Origin: Singapore, Singapore / Destination: Bangkok, Thailand
The conference provided me a platform to explore and collaborate on related topics affecting nursing education and practices. It also gave me opportunities to learn about nursing practices from the oral presentations presented by the various nursing practitioners from other countries. It provided a platform for networking.
The international congress I participated was very engaging and allowed me to present my research project. I shared some valuable clinical and education knowledge gained in our daily evidence-based nursing practices care to improve patient outcomes. It also enhanced my role in providing patient and staff education from the various presentations.
The scholarship provided me with an added opportunity to participate in an international nursing congress activity. It facilitated me to update my knowledge with current practices from participants in their respective countries. The uniqueness of the scholarship facilitated me to attend a congress or conference of my interest. As a keynote speaker at the congress it gave me the opportunity to shared my views and on the project outcomes. I was also delighted and honoured to be recognized by being awarded with the International Association for Hospice & Palliative Care (IAHPC) scholarship. Mostly importantly, I was grateful to be part of the IAHPC as it enabled me to stay abreast with the updated evidence-based educational which served as a useful platform to stay engaged with a network of like-minded healthcare professionals who were very passionate about palliative care.
