Name of Meeting/Event/Activity: VIII Latin American Congress on Palliative Care
Origin: La Habana, Cuba / Destination: Mexico City, Mexico
Was an important opportunity because it allowed me to exchange with noted investigators of different countries and to upgrade me as for the advances of the palliative cares in the world.
This congress allowed me to see the work carried out in several countries where multidisciplinary teams exist in cares palliatives, with this exchange I seek to implement a new projection in the organization of the structure that exists in my country leaving of the creation of new groups in each area of health.
This scholarship provides him a great opportunity for doctors as me that they don\'t have resources to attend events outside of the country for monetary problems, having the appropriate knowledge to attend and to present works in the same one. I think that it is a brilliant idea and that he/she helps to the dissemination of the information and the scientific exchange in the Latin-American countries.
The fundamental problems that we have in our country are around the medications for the alone since pain we count for morphine via subcutaneous or intravenous and we don\'t have another treatment alternative that is not this, we should also continue working in the creation of the interdisciplinary teams for a better handling of the patients and family, as well as in the care of our professionals. This congress allowed me to exchange experiences and to learn of the use of different drugs with those that we don\'t count and of learning as the integral handling of the patients it is translated in better quality of life. I think that we need to qualify but professionals that are not devoted to the palliative cares alone with national trainings but also with international where he/she can memorize but it has more than enough equipment and current handling of patient and family.
