The IAHPC Membership Awards were established by the IAHPC Board of Directors in 2010 to recognize the hard work of the IAHPC members who are devoted to the advancement of hospice and Palliative Care worldwide and in gratitude for their support to the IAHPC. Members exemplify a continuing commitment to patient care, improved education and favorable policies, consistent with our mission.
This document describes the categories for the Membership Awards, criteria and eligibility for the selection of each awardee.
The IAHPC Membership Awards are administered by the IAHPC Office, according to the policies and procedures established by the board of directors.
IAHPC Loyal Members’ Award
Goal: to recognize the loyalty of members who keep their IAHPC membership active over the years.
Prize: One IAHPC Traveling Scholarship or Traveling Fellowship plus 1-year membership.
Criteria: Current IAHPC members (individuals and institutions) who have kept their membership active for at least three consecutive years by October 31st every year.
Eligibility: Never received IAHPC Loyal Members’ Award in past. IAHPC staff members, relatives and directors are not eligible to participate.
When: Promoted annually in September and October. Winner is announced in January of the following year.
IAHPC Membership Drive Award
Goal: to increase the number of members.
Prize: One IAHPC Traveling Scholarship or Traveling Fellowship plus 1-year membership.
Criteria: Current IAHPC member who refers the largest number of new or renewed members by October 31st every year. An individual member will count as 1 point and an institution will count as 2 points.
Eligibility: IAHPC staff members, relatives and directors are not eligible to participate.
When: Promoted annually in September and October. Winner is announced in January of the following year
