Description

The Division of Palliative Care, Pain Clinic and Quality of Life performs teaching and clinical research. It is made up of a transdisciplinary team that includes: Medicine, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Nutrition and Rehabilitation. The Service provides total and active care in a multidisciplinary manner to patients with chronic and/or terminal illnesses with multiple physical, psychological and spiritual symptoms, including the family, in order to improve the quality of life and, if necessary, to promote a dignified death, as well as to ensure a good grieving process and the acceptance of death as a natural process.
