Description
The Joan & Sanford Weil Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology cares for children from birth to 20 years of age who have cancer and/or blood diseases. In the framework of its activities, the department carries out numerous research projects in the fields of blood disorders and cancer in children, including: a study of proteins that promote vascularization in tumors, conducted in collaboration with the Technion's Ruth & Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine; a study investigating long-term complications after chemotherapy and radiation in children who have recovered from their illness; a study on palliative care in terminal illness; a study on quality of life of children with cancer, and clinical trials in targeted therapies.Region
