Palliative Care Service - Hospital Sirio Libanes

Description

The Palliative Care Center has a fixed, multidisciplinary team, composed of doctors specialized in palliative care, a nurse and a psychologist, as well as reference professionals in their areas, such as physiotherapists, nutritionists, pharmacists, social workers and volunteers. The service is offered during the hospital stay, free of charge. For those who do not need to remain hospitalized, the palliative care team works in the office or at home. In that case, the service is charged. The purpose of the service is to offer a strategic, integrated and multidimensional vision that involves aspects such as: Approach and ways to treat and care for symptoms of physical, emotional, social and spiritual suffering, family assistance, communication strategies and conflict mediation, ability to work in a team, as well as ethical and legal aspects.
