King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center is a pioneer in provision of palliative care services in the Middle East . It established the first ever Palliative Care Service in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the early 1990s. Since then, the service and expertise has continued to grow.
Palliative care medicine service provides Specialist inpatient care, and consultations service for cancer and non cancer inpatients and outpatients. This is delivered via dedicated inpatient palliative care beds and clinics in Cancer centre of excellence. Our multidisciplinary team is composed of experienced and specialized physicians, Specialist nurses and other professionals such as physiotherapist, social work, occupational therapist. We aim to provide patient centred care.
There is a thriving fellowship program and strong links with Home Health care and Paediatric Palliative care service.
