Description
The African Center for Research on End of Life Care (ACREOL) is a non-profit organisation, aims to improve the quality of life and the quality of care for patients facing life-threatening illnesses. The center works with perceptions of death and dying based on African experiences and realities for patients and their families. It approaches End of Life Care from an African sociocultural perspective. The African Center for Research on End of Life Care (ACREOL) comprises multicultural and multidisciplinary research from Africa, conducted in collaboration with ACREOL’s international partners. The center aspires to leverage existing practices on End of Life care through its work with African networks in palliative care and End of Life care. Our evidence-based research, filtered through the lens of African perspectives, aims to influence and support policy makers and stakeholders.
