Thanal Palliative and Paraplegic Care Society is an NGO active in the field of palliative care and paraplegic rehabilitation since the last decade. At present, Thanal has a total of 23 units in which 18 are Out patient & Palliative home care units and the remaining 5 are Equipment Distribution Centres. More than 500 trained volunteers and 18 home care vehicles are in the field now, in Ernakulum District of Kerala. We conduct about 400 home care trips every month in different areas of the district. Through every home care trip, we provide nurse assisted palliative service to the needy patients. At present, 6000+ patients are registered and are receiving various services from Thanal. So far we have provided service to around 10,00,00 patients. Home care, OP care, Students care, Rehabilitation, Palliative care, Volunteer training and Paraplegic care are the major areas of our activities.Region
