Hospice Care Professionals Association

Description

Hospice Care Professionals Association was created to unite the efforts of physicians, patients and society in the development of palliative care in the Russian Federation. The Association is a non-profit organisation that brings together doctors, leaders of patient communities, medical and charitable organisations that provide palliative care for patients with serious chronic and life-threatening illnesses of a different nature - neurological, oncological, genetic, and the consequences of trauma. The Association is engaged in the formation of standards for the provision of palliative care in general and the provision of comprehensive assistance to the development of a network of hospice institutions for adults and children. Also the Association conducts educational projects on regular basis, including two annual national conferences for specialists on development of hospice and palliative care.
