Russian Association of Palliative Medicine

Description
After the adoption in 2011 of the Federal Law No. 323-FZ "On the Fundamentals of Health Protection of Citizens in the Russian Federation"), the preconditions for uniting specialists engaged in providing palliative medical care to incurable patients in Russia have emerged. The All-Russian Public Movement "Medicine for the Quality of Life" and the All-Russian Association of Medical Workers initiated the creation of the Russian Association of Palliative Medicine, which was founded by representatives of the medical community from 44 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
The main goal of the Association is to assist its members in activities in the field of palliative medicine, including:
consolidation of the medical community in solving health problems and professional support of specialists working in the field of palliative care; assistance in the development and implementation of optimal organizational and methodological forms, methods and new technologies in health care designed to improve the quality of life of patients.
