Description
(Commonly called Amitabha Hospice). Amitabha Hospice offers free, at-home, weekly, compassionate companionship for the elderly and the incurably ill of any age, religion or culture and their families with specially trained and supervised Support Companions, throughout the greater Auckland area and on-site programs two days a week. Based on the Buddhist principles of love, integrity, equanimity and service, each family member and staff member is accorded equal respect and compassion with regard to their individuality and uniqueness as members of the larger universal human family. Amitabha Hospice is dedicated to developing and maintaining the highest quality of compassionate care in cooperation with other professional community services. Amitabha Hospice is also a member of Hospice NZ, NZBC and FPMT.Region
