The clinic for radio-oncology at the University Hospital Zurich is one of the largest radio-oncological clinics in Switzerland in terms of equipment and patient frequency. The palliative care competence center is an important component of our clinic. In addition to the care on our in-house ward, we are closely linked to the Hospiz Lighthouse in Zurich and offer regular consultation hours palliative care for outpatients. With the scientifically active team, with the research possibilities and the new technological developments, the best therapies can be offered for all oncological diseases. The Palliative Care Competence Center at Zurich University Hospital specializes in the comprehensive treatment, care and support of adults of all ages with advanced, incurable diseases (cancer and other serious diseases). It looks after patients whose medical and psychosocial situation necessitates more intensive support by a specialized team.
