Polish Society of Palliative Medicine

Description
Polish Society of Palliative Medicine was established in 2002 as a scientific and medical association. Its goal is to initiate and support scientific research on the problems of palliative medicine, integrate the activities of doctors in the field of the above-mentioned research, initiate and support health programs related to palliative care and to promote developed standards of care in this care. The Society currently has 220 members. The Society realizes its goals through:
-participation in organizing training for doctors, nurses and other medical workers in the field of palliative medicine as well as participation in the process of specializing doctors in the field of palliative medicine; -publishing magazines, newsletters and other materials related to palliative medicine; -organizing symposia, conferences and scientific meetings on the above-mentioned topics as well as cooperation with societies and scientific organizations in Poland and abroad dealing with related topics.
