Paedspal - Paediatric Palliative Care
Description
Paedspal is a new NGO (established Jan 2016) that provides paediatric palliative care services to children with life threatening and life-limiting illnesses in Cape Town. The name is a play on words with “pal” being a shortening of the word “palliative” but also meaning “friend”. Our Vision is to enable children with life-limiting conditions to live as well as possible for as long as possible. Our Mission is to ensure the best possible quality of life for these children; to provide optimal support for their families; and to work alongside their primary care teams and their community. Paedspal offers Hospital Consultative Service and Out-Patient Unit Service. The In-Patient Unit is in the process to be established.Region
