At TMC Hospice, we consider life a sacred journey of transformation, personal growth and discovery. Our mission is to help those with life-limiting illnesses walk their path of life and receive compassion, dignity and love. A department of Tucson Medical Center, TMC Hospice is a local nonprofit serving the community since 1991, and is accredited by the Joint Commission, certified by Medicare and recognized as a Level III partner of We Honor Veterans. Our service area includes the greater Tucson region as well as Benson, Arizona, just east of Tucson. Using an interdisciplinary group approach of physicians, nurses, social workers, home health aides, volunteers, spiritual counselors, bereavement counselors and others, we provide palliative care in the home, short-term inpatient/respite services at Peppi’s House, mobilization and coordination of ancillary services, and bereavement support. TMC Hospice provides an individualized program of physical, emotional, spiritual and practical care for adults and children in the last phases of a life-limiting illness or injury, with an emphasis on control of pain and other symptoms.
