Shepherds of Life
Description
Shepherds of Life provides home based care support to people living with HIV and AIDs. It is staffed by a team of ten people, who are supported by 500 community volunteers who work in the field with the beneficiaries. Shepherds of Life was founded in 2004 as a home based outreach program offering nutrition support, legal advice, clinical welfare support and shelter. It is registered with the government of Kenya as a community organization. Today Shepherds of Life is working with a network of village community care givers encompassing more than 750 Households of persons living with HIV&AIDS, the activities have spread to more than 3 administrative districts.
