Description | Our fellowship is part of a medium-sized but progressively growing healthcare system in beautiful Upstate South Carolina. We are a small program (one fellow), but as the first accredited hospice and palliative medicine fellowship in the state starting in 2014, we have considerable experience in post-residency training in this field. This fellowship program is designed for candidates who have clinical or academic career goals in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM). The one year ACGME accredited fellowship will prepare the future HPM clinician to work either academic or community based settings as an experienced HPM clinician. The fellow will work in multiple venues to include: inpatient consult service, outpatient clinic, long-term care facility, 15 bed inpatient hospice house, and home hospice. |
