Description | In Advanced Training in Palliative Medicine, you will explore a depth of specialty training in the management of patients with active, progressive and far-advanced disease, for whom the prognosis is limited and the focus of care is on their quality of life. You will train under supervision and prepare for independent practice as a consultant. Trainees are required to undertake their training in more than one palliative care service under the direct supervision of different specialists to the satisfaction of the PMEC. The Advanced Training in Palliative Medicine Program is evaluated biennially by the Training Committee in Palliative Medicine (TCPM) to ensure that it’s in line with educational best practice. |
