Learning objectives 3 Promote an understanding of the ethos of palliative care and their application to all health and caring services.
Description This program is a Master of Palliative Care by course work, practicum, and dissertation. The program is organized according to the concept of blended learning. That is, face to face sessions, self-learning and online problem based learning. Students will also go for clinical placement and do research. The program will run for two academic years on a semester system. Every academic year has one four weeks face to face teaching at the Institute.
The Program has two types of courses:
1. Core courses
2. Elective (specialist) courses
Core courses are compulsory for all students. These are essential to the program and must all be passed.
Elective courses are offered in order to allow specialization. A student will select three courses from the specialist courses. All courses in the specialist areas will be attended by students during face to face tutorials, but students will select three courses on which to specialize and do exams. Another elective module may be substituted for a failed one. Selection of elective courses shall be done in the first year so that students can do research in areas of specialization.
