Description | Our part-time, online and expert-led programme is patient-centred, facilitates the provision of evidence-based, cost-effective and equitable palliative care services and empowers you to reach your full potential. Our Palliative Care programme has been designed for professionals working in health care and related fields, such as public health and cancer research. You will explore the physical, psychological, social and emotional impact of advanced and incurable disease on patients, caregivers, society and the wider healthcare context. You will be introduced to the basis of healthcare research, with the opportunity to further develop your research skills in the dissertation. Through online collaboration with peers from all over the world, you will challenge the perpetuation of suffering at the end of life through lack of knowledge and poor application of such knowledge into practice. Studying alongside a diverse range of professionals in clinical practice, research and industry provides a unique and innovative opportunity to explore palliative care widely whilst tailoring your learning to your own context. |
