The goal of Ana Maria’s work as a volunteer is to support the IAHPC officers and staff. Some of her tasks include sending thank you and acknowledgement letters to donors upon request. She also assists with the IAHPC information and membership booth at scientific congresses and events when possible.
Ana Maria joined IAHPC in 2000. Her role throughout the years included supporting the Executive Director and overseeing the membership program. She also represented the IAHPC at events where the organization had a booth or space in the exhibit area. She became an IAHPC volunteer when she retired from the organization as a staff member in 2017.
Ana Maria holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. She has taken several seminars in Palliative Care, Advocacy and Availability and Access to Essential Medicines.
Ana Maria has lived in Boca Raton, Florida with her husband in since 2016. She is currently a Volunteer at Boca Raton Regional Hospital and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Debbie Rand Memorial Service League, which organizes charitable activities to support the Hospital.
