Alison Ramsey, BA

As Senior Editor, Alison organizes and edits the content of Pallinews, which keeps members informed about international advocacy, curates positive local and regional stories, and publishes educational reports and features from IAHPC members, its board, and staff to support and advance palliative care globally.

She edits entries for Pallipedia, IAHPC’s online palliative care dictionary, and also writes stories, selects photos, and posts newsletter items on social media. 

Alison joined the IAHPC at the end of 2017 after working as a reporter then editor of community newspapers, magazine feature story writer, and researcher for Reader’s Digest Canada. She also served as managing editor of the Journal of Palliative Care.

Alison is trained in chemical technology and has a journalism degree. 

She lives in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where—due to a long winter—she enjoys a sadly abbreviated golf season with her partner and many, many evenings of reading fiction.
