The 9th World Research Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) will be held in Dublin, Ireland 9-11 June 2016. We expect to welcome more than 1,000 delegates who will present and discuss cutting-edge palliative care research from across the world.

Other topics include: Information technology in palliative care, Mortality followback surveys, Advance care planning, Pain treatment and Implementation of guidelines.

Much of the scientific programme is abstract-driven, and submission is now open on the congress website. A new feature is the possibility to submit research protocols. 2nd ICPCN Conference – Children’s Palliative Care – NOW!

Call for abstracts…

The International Children’s Palliative Care Network (ICPCN) has announced a call for abstracts for the 2nd ICPCN Conference, which will take place in Buenos Aires in Argentina. Marking the culmination of the ICPCN NOW Campaign, and highlighting the need for urgent improvement in global access to palliative care for the more than 21 million children who need it, the theme chosen for this conference is Children’s Palliative Care – NOW!

The three-day conference aims to bring together people from around the world and from all professions working with children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions to encourage the exchange of knowledge, innovative ideas, research and professional development.

The official conference language is English but all plenary sessions will have simultaneous translation of English to Spanish and vice versa. The programme will also have separate English and Spanish tracks so abstracts can be submitted in either language. The abstract deadline is 26 October 2016.

“I’d encourage anyone with an interest in children’s rights, children’s health and children’s palliative care to seize this wonderful opportunity to attend the conference,” says Joan Marston, ICPCN CEO and Conference Chair.

To learn more and submit your abstract, please visit the conference website.
