IAHPC Scholarships to EAPC Congress:
February 20 is the deadline to apply

The International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care is providing a limited number of scholarships to support the participation of palliative care workers to attend the 18th World Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, June 15-17, 2023. The deadline to apply is February 20. Results will be announced in March.

Applicants from all disciplines are welcome to apply [IAHPC Scholarship application]. Applicants must be current IAHPC members (join or renew here) both now and during the congress. Note that the funding is for travel and registration only.

Preference is given to applicants working full-time in palliative care who have not received an IAHPC grant or scholarship within the past three years, have an accepted poster or presentation, and are living in a lower-, lower-middle-, or upper-middle-income country.

Important note: Depending where you live, you may need a Schengen Visa. Residents of more than 60 countries can enter without one, but it can take months to acquire and may come with fees.

December fundraiser result

In December 2022, the IAHPC added a pop-up to the website, encouraging visitors to “be the seed of change.” Nearly $16,000 USD was donated, which was above the expected amount of $10,000. Every donation helps to achieve our mission of ending health-related suffering. Even small donations are important, as they represent the breadth of support that, in turn, solidifies IAHPC’s non-profit status.

You Like It!

We received congratulatory notes from IAHPC members in India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and the US after changing our logo. This one is our favorite:

“LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new logo, and the reasons that you delineated for the change. Brilliant way to start the new year!”
