How was this meeting/activity helpful to you?

Thanks to a Traveling Scholarship I received from IAHPC, I was able to participate, for my first time in a research congress, the10th EAPC World Research Congress in Bern, Switzerland. I lack the words to describe the amazing experience I had. The knowledge I gained from sharing with my colleagues from different countries, and learning from the European research expertise was very useful for me. It was also a very good setting in which to explore my own skills and knowledge and think about how I might pursue my future research development in Argentina.

How will you new knowledge & acquired skills help in furthering your work in hospice and palliative care in your program/city/ or country?

This experience was very valuable for me. We presented our research poster Eranet Lac Code with colleagues from 7 countries. It was a great opportunity to meet colleagues and share professional experiences with senior palliative care researchers. What is more, I also met the President of the Latin American Association of Palliative care Dr. Tania Pastrana in order to strengthen our national and regional links beyond the continent. In addition the City of Bern is amazing and the Congress organization was perfect!! I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the IAHPC for providing me the opportunity to take part in the Congress.

How IAHPC Traveling Scholarship be improved in order to help other future traveling scholars?

Probably, because of high Congress fees plus accommodations fares and air travel tickets so expensive for developing countries out of Europe, the Traveling Scholarship should allow grantees to afford this experience without high extra costs.
