Narrative summary highlighting the needs and challanges you face

In comparative of others countries as UK, Spain, USA, France, which have many years of experiences, we are still starting the palliative care in our country (Cameroun). First of all we have to note that there is not government policy operative on palliative care and many health workers are still taking contact with the palliative care. Therefore, some cities of the country are almost providing the palliative care in their respective city even though with few resources (human’s resources, knowledges, infrastructures, drugs…) but officially at this moment we just have one palliative care unit (PCU) in the country. However the principal’s problems are: 1) Pain control because the different types of pain killer and other drugs mostly used in the PCU are not accessible; 2) The palliative home care are still embryonic. 3) How to manage some pain’s killer for relieve the pain. 4) Fortunately there are some organizations (local and Spanish) which help us with the drugs procurement. The skills that I acquired during my trip will me to manage correctly the pain killer for pain control, to improve the organization of palliative home care. Now in the PCU we are renewing the protocols of cares.
