13th Annual Interdisciplinary Approach to Palliative and Hospice Care Conference sponsored by M. D. Anderson and the Department of Palliative Care and Rehabilitation Medicine

November 13 and 14th, 2009 in Houston, Texas

Attendees at this conference will learn state-of-the-art pain and symptom management. Effective communication with patients and families at the end of life and issues of hope and grief in patients and families dealing with advanced diseases will be discussed. Also to be discussed are the moral and ethical dilemmas facing clinicians who provide end-of-life care. An intensive board review course in hospice and palliative care will be offered prior to the conference.

Deadline for Proposals for presentation is June 1, 2009
