Message from the Chair
Roberto Wenk, MD (Argentina)
This is a short message to update you about the activities of the IAHPC.
We recently submitted a draft strategic plan to the board of directors of IAHPC for the period 2008-2012. The draft contains nine areas that relate to the evaluation and debate of our current activities, plus several new areas where we may develop actions.
We have received positive feedback from the board with additional proposals for new projects. Each board member has selected three areas they specifically wish to work on. Many thanks to all for their input.
Our focus in the immediate future is to:
- Review the responses of the directors
- Form working groups for each project
- Send to each group a draft guideline which they may modify or upgrade
- Keep our members and colleagues informed of the outcomes
Finally, Dr. Kathy Foley has agreed to continue to provide advice to our association and we are very grateful for this opportunity to be able to continue to tap her expertise and benefit from her wisdom. Thank you, Kathy!
