Eastern Health - Supportive & Palliative Care Service

Description

The specialist palliative care service at Eastern Health is comprised of a 30-bed specialist inpatient palliative care unit at Wantirna; a consultancy liaison service to all the Eastern Health sites, based at the main three campuses of Box Hill, Maroondah, and Angliss Hospitals; and an outreach consultancy service into residential aged care. We provide teaching to undergraduate medical students from Monash and Deakin Universities. We also work closely with the Public Health Palliative Care Unit at La Trobe University, Eastern Palliative Care, Eastern Metropolitan Region Palliative Care Consortium, and Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network.
