Western Sussex Hospitals Foundation Trust has a hospital-based palliative care team on its Chichester and Worthing sites.We have a team of nurse specialists on each site supported by the medical teams from St Barnabas House Hospice in Worthing and St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Chichester. Our palliative care specialists are here to help patients with advanced progressive or life-limiting illness and their families to enjoy the best possible quality of life they can, and to help them in facing problems associated with these conditions. They aim to prevent and relieve suffering by early identification and treatment of pain and other problems, and provide the physical, psychological, social and spiritual support their patients and their families need.
