Description
Our mission is to provide expert care for older adults and patients with advanced illness, to enrich knowledge through research in the field of aging, and to train the next generation of healthcare leaders. The Division of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine traces its origins to a multidisciplinary geriatrics clinic in U-M’s Turner Building in 1967, and has grown to be one of the largest and most successful programs in the country. The Division of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine is part of the Department of Internal Medicine, and is the academic home to 35 clinical and research faculty, including 17 with dual certification in both geriatric and palliative medicine.
