Tsukuba Medical Center Hospital - Department of Palliative and Supportive Medicine

Description
The Department of Palliative and Supportive Medicine, University of Tsukuba Hospital is a new clinical department established in April 2022. A palliative care team was established in 2004 to provide specialized palliative care treatment to both inpatients and outpatients. At the Palliative and Supportive Care Department, we provide medical care based on the following four mottos. 1) Screening the mental and physical pain of cancer patients during outpatient and inpatient treatment, and continuously addressing the pain that needs to be dealt with from the early stage to the end of life, 2) Oncologists and others Support for outpatient and inpatient medical care by medical professionals who care for patients care, 3) also deal with the pain caused by cancer treatment and 4) Actively address palliative care for diseases other than cancer, targeting all patients with serious illnesses and their families.
