Antea Associazione ONLUS

The Antea Association is a non-profit organization, which was founded in Rome in 1987 to guarantee free home assistance to patients in an advanced stage of illness. In 2000 the Antea hospice was born, today it has 25 single rooms equipped with every comfort, to better assist our patients. Antea assistance is based on palliative care, an approach that includes not only medical-nursing assistance, but also psychological, rehabilitation, social, spiritual and legal support, in order to guarantee the best possible quality of life for the patient and his or her family. Antea carries out its activities at home, at the Hospice of the Antea Center and through the Telemedicine Center, with assistance guaranteed 24 hours a day by highly qualified personnel. In 2012 the Antea team is composed of 15 doctors, 29 nurses, 15 social health workers, 2 auxiliaries, 2 psychologists, 1 social worker, 3 physiotherapists, 1 spiritual assistant, 1 occupational therapist and well over 100 volunteers.
