Description
The Hospice is a charitable institution run by the Sisters of Mercy of St. Charles Borromeo offering palliative care services to the most vulnerable people. In 1997, the Mother of Mercy Hospice was opened for terminally ill patients as an extension of the Home Based Care (HBC) services. It was one of the first hospices established in Zambia. The Mother of Mercy Hospice and Health Centre provides palliative care services to the terminally and chronically ill in our community. By offering love, care and treatment we celebrate the beauty of life and affirm dignity to the dying. Through our clinic we also offer Anti-Retro Viral drugs to sufferers of HIV/AIDS, as well as education and awareness about the issue to help best ensure prevention.Region
