Knysna Sedgefield Hospice

Description

Founded in 1986 and fully accredited with the Council of Health Services of Southern Africa since 2006. We offer home based palliative care at no charge to patients (we do claim from medical insurance for the few people who have it). Our interdisciplianry team comprises palliative trained doctor, nurses and social workers as well as volunteers. The area served is from Wilderness to Harkerville. We loan medical equipment to patients, offer day care programmes, support for orphans and children of patients, bereavement support for adults and children and poverty alleviation (assist with access to social grants, school uniforms, food parcels).
