In March 2012 a Pediatric Palliative Care (PPC) pilot program was initiated in the Oncology Unit of Dr. Robert Reid Cabral Children's Hospital, the largest pediatric hospital in DR. The program focus was to improve the quality of life (QoL) of patients with terminal cancer. We offer psychological and social support, basic pain management and Metronomic Therapy. Our team has a physician, a palliative care trained nurse and a psychologist with social support from Fundación Amigos Contra el Cáncer Infantil, Inc.Region
