Hungarian Hospice Palliative Association (HHPA)

Description

The Hungarian Hospice Palliative Association (HHPA) as national association was established by 19 hospices in 1995. In 2016 the HHPA has 46 member associations. The Mission of the Hungarian Hospice-Palliative Association is to promote the people-oriented, quality, end-of-life care of incurable patients. The Hungarian Hospice-Palliative Association brings together and represents the community of domestic hospice services, and promotes the implementation of the Hospice Principles, which are:All forms of hospice care are free of charge. Equal opportunities for the dying patient are realized. Hospice care is tailor-made for individuals and families, and it also extends to the psychological social and spiritual care of the sick and his family during sickness and mourning beyond the patient's physical symptoms.Care is provided by a cooperative community of trained and well-trained professionals and is provided by volunteers (hospice team).
