Meru Hospice
Description
Meru Hospice is a charitable non-profit making organization set up to provide care to the terminally ill in a resource limited setting on the slopes of Mt Kenya in Meru, Kenya. It started operating within the Meru Provincial Hospital before moving to its own more spacious premises, about 500 metres from Hospital. The hospice serves around 140 patients in a month. It also conducts the short courses on palliative care both for health care professionals and non-health care professionals. The hospice also runs HIV counseling and testing service.
